Laughter is healing and improves our well:being on all levels. Di you know that the brain cannot differentiate between a fake laugh and real laughter?

This exercise routine was developed by Dr. Madan Kataria to oxygenate both body and brain with whole body (and mind benefits). No experience required but an ability to laugh is helpful!

Tony Tavares is a registered yoga teacher, registered acupuncturist and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner, acupuncture and meditation teacher and mindfulness counsellor. He is the founder and director of Norwood Holistic Health Centre. Tony is on the faculty of Soghrati Yin Yoga Teacher Training and offers retreats within Ontario.

Chanting is a heart opening experience.In the practice of yoga, chanting is called kirtan. It’s about sound, breath, vibration, rhythms and can have multiple health benefits both physically and emotionally. It can calm and focus the mind, help with anxiety, decrease stress, lower blood pressure, promote feelings of wellbeing and more. Join Tony for this October event at the studio. All welcome. THAI YOGA BLISS

Treat your body and your mind to a deeply relaxing class of restorative yoga and thai yoga massage. It is a restorative and therapeutic yoga class with hands on experience that will make you feel supported and nurtured.
Lee-Anne uses Thai Yoga techniques to help ground you, release tight muscles, calm the central nervous system, and bring the mind and body into a deep state of relaxation. Limited space for this class with a student teacher ratio of 5 to 1. 

 

EMBODIED LISTENING: A Day Retreat

To be embodied is feeling at home in your body, with an increased ability to be in your body in the present moment and to feel all of its sensations (emotional and physical). I refer to it as finding the spaces between each breath.

This focused day brings you back to the simple process of paying attention to your internal experience and finding interoceptive awareness of being YOU. This day retreat incorporates movement - gentle soma yoga and somatic movements, the moving meditation of Taiji Qigong Shibashi and the quiet stillness of Yoga Nidra. A simple vegetarian lunch and self-care inquiries will round out this mid-week break.

CONSCIOUS LIVING EXPLORING ESSENTIAL OILS

 Aromatherapy has been around for centuries. Remember the lavender linen sprays to promise you a restful night’s sleep or the eucalyptus steam for your sinuses? If you are interested in learning a little bit about what essential oils offer as chemical-free supportive players, come to these hands-on classes.

If you’ve heard about Thieves Essential Oil or products, but don’t really know what they are, come to the class that lets you make a shift to ditching the chemicals for more natural based products that will support your environment and YOU.

You’ll take away 2 items at each class plus some options that you can put into practice.

RESTORATIVE YOGA MELT

 

Relax. Renew. Restore. Take some time for you.  Melt into a series of gentle supported postures to activate the parasympathetic nervous system.  Allow the body to find deep rest and connect to a heightened state of physical and emotional well being. Gentle yoga movements will release tension and realign the body's energy. A deep meditative state is facilitated as the body and mind surrender into bliss.
