Each of our qualified and talented instructors bring their own eclectic mix of experience and trainings to their classes.
All teachers have trained in programs recognized by Yoga Alliance standards and are certified with 500 or 200 hour training programs.

Sharon opened path to stillness yoga studio in 2004 with the desire to create a nurturing space to explore the practice of yoga. She offers gentle & therapeutic programs to meet the changing health needs of the community. Students of the studio are able to experience a sense of peacefulness, deepened awareness of "self" and the calm that yoga and somatics create.
Completing a 500-hour Yoga training in 2001 followed by a FOYT certification in 2002, she has continued with on-going certifications that compliment her gentle approach to yoga and movement. With an interest in therapeutic and healing aspects of body/mind practices, her classes support deepened awareness and well-being. In addition to the studio classes, Sharon facilitates a hospital based program and specialty classes for mental health groups. She is currently enrolled in a 3 year Clinical Somatic Educator professional training with Essential Somatics.
Sharon finds her yoga influenced by her mentor Lila Ostermann, Donna Farhi, Judith Lasater, Paul Grilley, Biff Mitthoefer, and the extraordinary teachers that have brought gems of knowledge to a continuing eclectic path.

Bridget completed her 500 hour yoga training certification in 2004 (RYT500). With an interest in therapeutic practices, Bridget certified as a Relax and Renew Restorative teacher in 2006 and a Somatic Exercise Coach (Level 1) in 2014.
Bridget has an on-going commitment to explore & develop her skills as both a yoga practitioner and teacher. Over the past 12 years she has completed further intensive trainings with Judith Lasater, Donna Farhi, Paul Grilley, Biff Mithoefer, Leslie Kaminoff, Dr. Timothy McCall and more. Although initially coming to the mat for physical stability and flexibility, she now uses the spiritual & meditative side of yoga as a tool for day-to-day living.

Pam has practiced yoga for many years and joined the studio in 2007 after completing her yoga training. Pam has completed many diverse trainings and her interest in Yin yoga included trainings with teachers Tracey Soghrati, Paulie Zink, Biff Mithoefer and Paul and Suzee Grilley.
Focusing on therapeutic modalities Pam certified as a restorative yoga instructor, a Somatic Exercise Coach and an Essential Low Back Program teacher. Currently Pam instructs Gentle Yoga, Chair Based Yoga, Low Back Care Classes and Yin Yoga at the studio.
Lawrie Keillor Faulkner

A long time student of yoga, Lawrie completed her 500 hour hatha training in 2004. She has taught yoga classes in the Kawartha Lakes for the past 11 years and has had the opportunity to experience the teachings of many international instructors. Most recently Lawrie completed a Level 1 Somatic Exercise Coach program with Martha Peterson of Essential Somatics.

Jane is a certified yoga teacher in the Sivananda tradition and has been teaching yoga within our community since 1984. A long time meditator, Jane has studied the work of Sri Aurobindo Society out of Pondicherry, India. Her quiet and soft-spoken manner allows her meditation students to learn and experience in a calm and easy atmosphere.

Rosalind came to her first yoga class in 2002 and completed her yoga training in late 2015 in the tradition of Vanda Scaravelli. While on the mat she gained a greater understanding of her body and its potential for healing itself. She presents a mindful yoga practice that encourages and explores the individual Experience.
Guest Instructor / RYT500
Paola has been teaching yoga since 1990 was initially trained in Iyengar yoga and then in 1992 began studies with Esther Myers, a student of Vanda Scaravelli. She subsequently completed training as a Kundalini yoga teacher in the tradition of Yogi Bhajan. Her interest in Zen meditation is evident in her hatha yoga classes her mindful approach to yoga, inspires insight and self awareness.
