Please note that we will also be offering a 4 consecutive week Restorative Class on Monday evenings beginning on May 28th ~ 7:30 - 9:00 pm
Restorative yoga may be referred to as active relaxation. Restorative poses are poses of "being" rather than "doing". The body is placed in a supportive environment using props with gentle attention to the breath. By being supported by props, the muscles and bones are relieved from their roles of support and action which allows the nervous system to send fewer messages and become quieter. Restorative poses cultivate the habit of attention. Learn to identify how and where you hold tension and then consciously release it. Restorative yoga is beneficial for any time whether it dealing with stress, fatigue, injury or just taking time out to relax the body. Move into your weekend with a renewed sense of energy.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SERIES FOR YOGA TEACHERS with Paola di Paolo , E- RYT500
Returning for Fall Session 2012
There comes a time as yoga teachers when we have questions about the asanas, the breath, the students and our teaching. Paola will guide us in a series specifically for yoga teachers to aid in the continuing development of our yoga teachings. Working in a small group, we will have an opportunity to gain clarity and understanding through both practical applications and discussion based on the "focus" of the class. Questions will be submitted prior to the first class so we can begin from a place of mutual interest, confusion or curiosity. Explore your understanding and present it in a more meaningful way to students. The class usually meets every 3rd week. The series is geared to certified yoga teachers with a minimum of 200 hours training.
