Move with Ease ~ Somatic Exercise
Get out of pain, release muscular holding and gain awareness in this 5 week series using Hanna Somatic Exercises. Relearn control over muscles that have forgotten to release, using gentle movements. The classes may help the student to find a more easeful body and create a sense of softness and fluidity, whether walking, running, pilates, yoga or just day to day movement.
The Cat Stretch Series ~ Somatic Exercise
A 6 week program introducing fundamental somatic explorations based on Thomas Hanna's "cat stretch series". This introductory movements awaken all sides of the body. Although seemingly simple, they can facilitate major changes through awakening areas of SMA (Sensory Motor Amnesia) and allow the body to find a more integrated way of movement. This series gives participants to the basic knowledge to move into the other somatic classes with a firm understanding of the movement principles. It also creates a short movement program to continue at home for 8-12 minutes of time. For anyone wanting to get out of pain. Although these movements can be adapted for chair, the class is done primarily on the floor.
40 Days to Enlightened Eating
A 7 class series for anyone wanting to nurture their spirit, nourish their body and develop mindful awareness in their life. With group support we will take a 40 Day journey of optimal eating based on the the healing sister sciences of Yoga & Ayurveda for health, energy & vitality. Classes consist of discussion, recipes, handouts and daily support and culminates with an enlightened meal in celebration of our 40 Days.
This course is based on the the book & course developed and written by Elise Edmonds Cantrell, author of 40 Days to Enlightened Eating. Course fee includes book & supplies.

Taiji Qigong Shibashi
A series working with the 18 Healing Movements of Shibashi. These Qigong exercises were designed to balance the "Qi" or energy throughout the body. The practice of Shibashi is said to improve the health and wellbeing of the practitioner, reducing both mental stress and physical tension of the body. It is a simple and easy to learn practice with gentle, rhythmic movements that are meditative and suitable for people of all ages. As you learn the moves you can then gradually increase the repetitions of each movement. The Shibashi practice can be done both standing or sitting.
Surya & Chandra Namaskars (Sun & Moon Salutations)
A 4 week series explores gentle variations of the Sun (Surya) and Moon (Chandra) Salutations while making these vinyasas safe and enjoyable for your body. All levels.
The Niyamas: Mind & Movement
A focused class to explore the 2nd Limb of the 8 Fold Path of Yoga - The Niyamas, using asana, reflection and discussion. How can we take this ethical guideline of observing our relationship to ourselves, others and our practice, both on and off the mat? Guided by the work of Deborah Adele's The Yamas & Niyamas.
Kundalini is often referred to as "the yoga of awareness". A practice of yoga that opens your heart, builds strength and releases the energy located at the base of your spine. Kundalini yoga focuses on breath and movement and challenges its students both physically and mentally. In any class, anywhere in the world, you can expect it to include six major components: 1) tuning-in 2) pranayam or warm-up, 3) kriya, 4) relaxation, 5) meditation and 6) close with the blessing song, “May the Long Time Sun Shine Upon You”.
In the ancient tradition that is yoga, Kundalini Yoga is a householder path; that is, it has always been practiced by those with families and jobs. It’s a safe way to stimulate the body’s natural resources and become healthy, happy, and holy—in body, mind and spirit.

Yoga Nidra is often called "yogic sleep". It is a systematic method of complete relaxation, holistically addressing our physiological, neurological, and subconscious needs. A variety of techniques are often used to help aid in relaxation including guided imagery and body scanning. It is intended to induce full-body relaxation and a deep meditative state of consciousness. Most people think that relaxation is very simple; just recline and close your eyes but unless you have released your muscular, mental and emotional tensions, you are never totally relaxed. Although Savasana is experienced at the end of yoga classes, Yoga Nidra allows more time to really release and experience a deep state of deep relaxation.
Coming Home to Yourself: Finding Balance at Midlife
A 3 week specialty series focuses on creating space amidst multiple life demands for Women. Through yoga postures, breathing practices and guided meditations this experiential class will work towards developing compassionate practices to soothe anxiety and to find ways to improve sleep.
This workshop is open to women of all levels from newbie to experienced. If you are younger or older than "midlife" please join us regardless.
